Qatar Geotechnical and Environmental Company (QGEC) is a member of Arabian Construction Engineering Company (ACEC), and is affiliated with Tolunay-Wong Engineers (TWEI).

QGEC was established in 2003 and provides services in the field of geotechnical, geoscience, environmental and materials engineering for infrastructure, onshore and offshore pipelines, power, energy development and hydrocarbon resource projects. QGEC services are performed using state of the art technologies and according to international standards, through QGEC personnel expertise and the extensive experience of TWEI and Geoserv.

QGEC has Mobile Riggs of Acker Drill ADII, Mobile B57 and CME 55. All are equipped with a wireline drilling system capable of performing onshore and offshore (mounted on a barge) drilling operations and in-situ testing, along with a laboratory facility to conduct soil and materials testing. QGEC is currently acquiring additional rigs to expand its operation along with hiring additional manpower.

TWEI is based in Houston, Texas – USA (www.tweinc.com) and provides services in geotechnical engineering, geological, geophysical, environmental and materials testing.

Geophysical Services is based in Bahrain. It provides services in geophysical surveys onshore and offshore, underground utilities mapping, and other related activities.



QGEC services are provided through ISO9001:2015 Certified Quality Management System, ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety System and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System.

QGEC as well has met the requirement of the IAS Accreditation Criteria for Testing laboratory (AC89), and has demonstrated compliance and Certified for ANS/ISO/IEC Standard 17025:2017
